Classic Downeast Boat
The General Marine 26 is a classic downeast hull design with a strong commercial heritage. The 26 has a full keel for running gear protection and lateral stability, molded in spray rails and flair in the bow for a dry ride. The 26 is a versatile boat with a spacious interior and easy access to the machinery. The hull is constructed of solid glass using vinyl ester, high tech fiberglass and high quality gelcoats. All hardware is 316 stainless steel above the waterline and silicon bronze below the waterline. The deck and interior are fully molded with diamond nonskid and molded in hatches.

COMMERCIAL KIT BOAT: without power (All molded components (unassembled), Hull with (4) 2X12 stringers, (3) bulk heads and plywood/glass transom all encased in fiberglass, Cabin/Foredeck/Gunwales molded one piece, Windshield/ Canopy molded one piece, and Visor. COMMERCIAL INBOARD: without power (Molded hull and cabin components (hand laid solid glass), (4) 2X12stringers, (3) bulkheads (fiberglassed), (3) flush cockpit hatches, heavy duty stainless cleats, chocks and bow bit, heavy duty PVC rub rail (Stainless through bolted), teak grab rails, molded in splash rails, safety plate windows with anodized aluminum frames, (4) port holes (screened/opening), 1 1/2” Aquamet 22 shafting, Walters split coupling, 90 gallon aluminum fuel tank (up to optional), fuel and exhaust hose grade “A” Coast Guard cert., non-skid foredeck and sole deck, recessed dashboard, or console dashboard. Morse controls/heavy duty cables, heavy duty skeg/rudder, fiberglass stern tube (wet well opt.), 19” Prop. 4 bladed, hyd. Steering, 12 volt DC elec. Panel with 12 breakers, battery test and duel swith, Nav. Lights, cabin lights, auto bilge, rope locker, wiper and bow eye, (wet exhaust std.-dry optional).
DOWNEAST CRUISER: without power (Includes all specified in COMMERCIAL INBOARD and the following:
Vee bunks with cushions and storage hatches, galley (2 burner alcohol stove, teak cutting board, hand pump faucet, sink, fresh water tank), teak drawers, porta potti (manual head available), full teak trim pkg., teak companionway door, stainless steel rub rail trim, boot top stripe, vinylester resin, cove stripe, stainless steel handrails optional and any teak may be replaced with fiberglass.)
DOWNEAST CRUISER SEDAN: without power (Includes all specified in DOWNEAST CRUISER and the following: 2 side panels with 4 windows (2 opening), an enclosed head with a manual head, holding tank with a Y valve, pressurized hot and cold water and a shower.
